Training Provided by Pierson Requirements Group This 2 day Introduction to Project Management class offers training in the basic skills that a Business Analyst, Product Manager, Technical Lead and a Project Manager would use to effectively manage an IT Project. The participants will learn the important skills of how to scope and plan projects for IT initiatives. The seminar focus is on: - Learning the basic concepts for project management best practices and how to apply them to your companya s projects - Understanding of the project scoping process, how to identify and mitigate risk and how to conduct an effective project kickoff - Learning how to identify and plan project tasks using collaborative facilitation techniques - Providing practical exercises utilizing project management best practices Participants will receive a project planning simulation exercise to practice creating a Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) using collaborative methods and transforming the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) into a project plan.
