Practical Project
Management 4 day class offers training
in the methods and procedures that a
Project Manager would use
to effectively manage an IT Project. This hands-on training
provides participants with the concepts and formal techniques
needed to manage projects for IT initiatives.
The seminar focus is on how to:
- Be an effective project manager and what skills are required

Define the project vision and scope

Conduct the software selection process

Create and manage an effective project plan

Assess and manage project risks
- Create and manage an effective project budget
- Build and manage an effective team
- Manage the project communication process
- Understand the importance of Quality Assurance
- Control the project scope
The training provides practical hands-on exercises utilizing the
project management best practices taught in class. A final case
study simulation using the skills taught in class is also provided.
Each seminar participant receives a Seminar Handbook with
sample templates, checklists and a solution set.
