Training Provided by Pierson Requirements Group The Practical Project Management 4 day class offers training in the methods and procedures that a Project Manager would use to effectively manage an IT Project. This hands-on training provides participants with the concepts and formal techniques needed to manage projects for IT initiatives. The seminar focus is on how to: - Be an effective project manager and what skills are required - Define the project vision and scope - Conduct the software selection process - Create and manage an effective project plan - Assess and manage project risks - Create and manage an effective project budget - Build and manage an effective team - Manage the project communication process - Understand the importance of Quality Assurance - Control the project scope The training provides practical hands-on exercises utilizing the project management best practices taught in class. A final case study simulation using the skills taught in class is also provided. Each seminar participant receives a Seminar Handbook with sample templates, checklists and a solution set.
