This course is designed to provide pet owners with the techniques necessary to provide first aid to their pets, specifically dogs and/ or cats, before they are able to get them to the veterinarian. These skills will help to prevent long term disability or permanent injury to their pets by providing necessary immediate treatment for common ailments and injuries. Pet First Aid is the immediate care given to an injured or suddenly ill pet as temporary assistance until complete vet care is available. Properly applied first aid can save your peta s life, reduce recovery time, and be the difference between temporary disability and lifelong disability.

Pet First Aid
This program concentrates on basic first aid care. It is not intended to replace veterinary care, but rather to instruct the pet owner on how to save a pet s life during an emergency or to minimize a pet s trauma after an emergency. You will learn numerous valuable techniques to protect you beloved pet, even through some serious ailments and injuries, until professional veterinary help can be provided.
Intended audience: Absolutely any pet owner concerned enough to want to gain valuable information that could save the life of his/ her pet in the future. The minimum age requirement is at 14 years, but we can teach younger participants if they have what it takes to learn this valuable information.
Prerequisites: None
Approximate Course Length: 4 Hours
All training materials are included in the course price and will be distributed the day of the course.
All training is approved by the ASPCA. No certification card is awarded.
