The OSHA 10 Hour Outreach Training for Construction is an instructor-led course held in our Denver, Colorado training facility. The 10 Hour Construction safety seminar is an introductory course that teaches workers hazard recognition and safe work practices in accordance with OSHA Construction Standards, 29 CFR 1926. A US Department of Labor OSHA wallet card will be obtained for each student who completes the course. These cards take approximately 4-6 weeks to arrive.

Mandatory training topics:
1. Introduction to OSHA:
* OSH Act, General Duty Clause, Employer and Employee
Rights and Responsibilities, Whistleblower Rights,
Recordkeeping basics.
* Inspections, Citations, and Penalties
* General Safety and Health Provisions, Subpart C
* Competent Person, Subpart C
* Value of Safety and Health
* OSHA Website and available resources
* OSHA 800 number
2. OSHA Focus Four:
(a) Fall Protection,
(b) Electrical Safety,
(c) Struck by
(d) Caught in/ between
3. Personal Protective and Lifesaving Equipment,
4. Health Hazards in Construction
Elective topics- At least two topics adding up to at least
two hours
1. Materials Handling, Storage, Use and Disposal,
2. Tools - Hand and Power,
3. Scaffolds,
4. Cranes, Derricks, Hoists, Elevators, & Conveyors,
5. Excavations,
6. Stairways and Ladders,
Additional 2 Hours - The remainder of the class time will be spent teaching other construction industry hazards or policies and/ or expanding on the mandatory or elective
topics. This will be dictated by the subjects most useful to your employees.
Other topics can include:
Fire Protection and Prevention
Signs, Signals and Barricades
Tools, Hand and Power
Welding and Cutting
Steel Erection.
