This course is a introduction to some of the basic instrumentation used in linear dimensional measurements. In particular measurements on relatively small dimensions, say from a millimeter to a meter or two. The basic use and methods of reading the instrumentation will be described. This is meant to be a basic introduction to be used as a foundation for future courses.
