In the class, we talk about the industry opportunities, the structure of advertising, how to make a demo, the kinds of voices in demand, and most importantly, I show them MY METHOD for getting work, which is all about circumventing the competition.
The industry is changing so much. Voice-over actors are actually recording voice-overs for clients on their own computers in their own homes today We cover all the exciting new ways of launching this as either a full time, or part time career.
Every student is heard and receives an evaluation of his or her potential to do voice-overs. But the bottom line is, they all love the class
I have always taught this course live and in person. But for years I have been trying to find a way to continue teaching this course without constantly being out on the road and away from my family. I ve finally found it. I am offering the class as an ONLINE CLASS where the students can watch from their own homes.
Digital technology has become increasingly advanced, and my voice-over class now affords students the fascinating opportunity to be a living part of that technology during the class session.
The class will now be broadcast online. Students can watch from the comfort of their own home. All they need is a computer and an internet connection, we take care of the rest.
The first portion of the class is a video that we have had professionally recorded from my studio. This video discusses opportunities in the field, voice-over techniques, the state of the industry, and the Dan Levine method for getting work, which is all about circumventing the competition.
Following the video, the students will have the chance to listen to some sample voice-over demos to hear what is standard in the industry.
Then the students will call a toll free number for a conference call with me. Everyone will be given a chance to ask questions and hear my response.
Following the class, students will be given some sample scripts, and a toll free number to call. They ll call and read the script. We will respond with an evaluation email within a few hours.
You d be amazed how many people from all different walks of life are interested in using their voice to break into the field of TV and RADIO commercials, narrating films, videos, books on tape, voice-mail, childrens voices, animated voices, etc. etc. I ve had brain surgeons, Rabbis, Priests, Attorneys, teachers, and so many do this part time and enjoy it more than almost anything else that they do.
