Kanban Pull Systems Introduction:

Kanban is an essential Lean implementation tool. The Kanban system is a way of synchronizing the material and information flow of disconnected processes to enable Just in Time production. Kanbans are used to control material and information movement and production execution through the pull system. Kanbans are signals or visual controls that trigger events in organisations. Kanbans helps organisations avoid errors and balance the flow. Whether it is the office or the production shopfloor, effective signals increase communication, put the employee in control and require less management involvement.

This course will teach participants how to design and implement a visual replenishment system. Emphasis is also placed on lot size reduction and effective capacity utilisation as an enabler of Kanban systems. The training will be a combination of lecture, exercises, and discussions on how to use Kanban to implement a pull system.
