Core Disaster Life Support CDLS
The CDLS course has lofty goals.
Over the course of four hours, we will first introduce and define the basic definitions used throughout the course. We will then define and discuss the D-I-S-A-S-T-E-R paradigm, including each of its components, as well as personal protective equipment (or PPE), and a brief discussion of specific pre-hospital and hospital disaster responses. Finally, we will discuss disaster resources available in your community. There will also be a brief written exam and an opportunity for each of you to submit a course evaluation. We welcome your feedback, positive and negative, so that we can continue to improve the course.
