This course is intended for system administrators, partners, and software support specialists who install, configure, and support EMC NetWorker 7. x in a UNIX or Windows environment.
Objectives
Upon successful completion of this course, participants should be able to:
Install NetWorker and NetWorker Management Console.
Use NetWorker resources and administrative interfaces.
Perform backups.
Customize backups.
Configure and manage standalone devices.
Configure and manage autochangers.
Manage NetWorker databases.
Manage NetWorker media.
Administer the NetWorker server.
Perform cloning and staging of save sets.
Administer the NetWorker Management Console and generate reports.
Recover client data.
Recover a NetWorker server.
Prerequisites Knowledge/ Skills
To understand the content and successfully complete this course, a student must have a suitable knowledgebase/ skill set. The student must have an understanding of:
UNIX or Windows system administration
Network administration in a TCP/ IP environment
SCSI device configuration, cabling, and addressing
