BenefitsE-Verify is an online system that allows you to check the work status of new hires by comparing information from an employee's Form I-9 against Social Security Administration and Department of Homeland Security databases. Although initially implemented as a voluntary program, many states now require the use of E-Verify, Additionally, as a result of a presidential executive order, federal contractors are also required to use the system.
