The 1 hour online Subcontractor Short Course educates subcontractors on the basics of stormwater compliance, and the importance of protecting and maintaining BMPs on a construction site. This course can be completed in 2 weeks or less. The student can take longer to adjust to work schedules. Upon completion of the program 2 year access is given to all course content. This certificate is approved by the United States Green Building Council (USGBC).

Outcomes
This Sub-Contractor Short Course will provide the student with a fundamental knowledge of erosion and sediment control so the person can:
Assessment
The classes are broken up into course modules. After the student completes a course module they are given an exam. If they do not pass the exam with 75% or greater, they must repeat the module and a new exam is given. Students may repeat the modules and exams as often as needed.

This Sub-Contractor Short Course will provide the student with a fundamental knowledge of erosion and sediment control so the person can:
- Understand what compliance with the Construction General Permit requires;
- Describe and understand proper installation and maintenance of best management practices;
- Understand the communication necessary between all subcontractors and Superintendent so the site stays in compliance throughout the construction project.
