TrainSmart designs a customized performance management system that is unique to the organization's culture and needs. There are three basic reasons for making an employee performance appraisal. The first reason is to encourage good behavior or to correct and discourage below standard performance. People who perform expect a reward, even if it is only recognition. Secondly is to satisfy employees' curiosity about how well they are doing. Lastly, to provide a firm foundation for later judgments that concern and employee's career.
