It is specifically tailored to the emerging roles of accountants and auditors in risk management with reference to legislative mandates. As such, the program highlights most recent issues and trends, and examines the impact on current and proposed International Financial Reporting Standards on these issues.

We are presenting this program jointly with Cygni Nova Caribbean Limited, independent risk management consultants with established partnerships in finance, accounting, actuarial science, and insurance. The firm's Principal Consultant, Alvarez N. Mendez is a former supervisor of financial institutions, financial consultant and director of a leading insurance brokerage firm. He has a proven track record in risk management, regulation and private-sector delivery of financial services which brings to bear a relevant and practical perspective on the program. Cygni-Nova Caribbean Limited is presently conducting risk management and governance training, in collaboration with one of the region's leading actuarial firms, to the trustees of the pension fund of a major Caribbean financial corporation.


The Workshop will take place on March 9th at the Marriott hotel in Port of Spain and again on March 10th at the Royal Hotel in San Fernando. It runs from 8: 00 am to 4: 15 pm and is eligible for seven (7) CPD hours
