Both these degree titles share the same range of modules covering stress management, coaching, self-hypnosis, personal development, Bach remedies, nutrition, reflexology, colour therapy, energy medicine, EFT, healing studies, weight management, practice management, counselling skills and other topics in complementary health and prevention. These degrees are not intended to be practitioner qualifications but to provide professional development and breadth of knowledge for the would-be or the already qualified practitioner without a degree, as well as affording access to Calamus higher degrees. Credit will be given for approved trainings. These degrees are also a preparation for a career in private sector complementary health centre administration, health media, natural health exhibition management, and similar fields. This program is an accelerated one: entrants should have an Associates degree or else credit for previous certificates, diplomas and work experience. Bridging courses will be recommended if the applicant lacks sufficient credit. The average period of study is 18 months and entry can be at any time of year. The main method of delivery is textbook-based course units; students do written assignments and email them to the college. The program leads to a BSc (Bachelor of Science) award from Calamus International University, a global distance learning university that is not accredited by a government-recognised agency. An individualised syllabus is negotiated with the student after enrolment, and course units are selected according to student preferences with advice from tutor. Since students come to the course having done a variety of trainings already, the course can be tailored to as to avoid repetition.
