Some units will be textbook-based and written work is email to the tutor; some units will require submission of recordings on CD.
The award is by Calamus International University, a global distance university that does not have accreditation by a government-recognised agency. CIU degrees are not UK or US degrees.
This program may appeal to those in sectors that do not require an accredited doctorate, for example minister of music in some churches or teacher at a private academy. Music therapists who are already licensed may also apply. The course may also be taken for personal interest or professional development. Applicants with ABD in music who are unable to complete a dissertation and wish to transfer to a DMus program are welcome.
This program is for classically-trained musicians - if your field is contemporary (e. g. rock or pop) singing, please see our Contemporary Voice degrees.
Due to the credit crunch, we are able to offer this program for a very favourable tuition fee starting at GBP (Pounds Sterling) plus the cost of any necessary textbooks or other materials.
