In addition to the web development features included in Expression Web, SharePoint Designer includes features specific to SharePoint, such as the ability to create, open, edit, backup and restore SharePoint sites and to create SharePoint master pages and web part pages. Note that in this introductory SharePoint training class, those SharePoint-specific features are not covered. If you are not specifically interested in SharePoint, but need to create web pages, please see our Expression Web Classes. Learn more about the differences between SharePoint Designer and Expression Web. In this SharePoint Designer course, students will learn the core features and functions of SharePoint Designer 2007. Students will learn how to create and apply templates, control layout and spacing, create and apply style sheets, and apply IDs and classes.
