Hardware-Independent Imaging Training Series Offered ala carte, select one or up to four webinar training sessions.

Webinar One:
Using VMWare and Virtualization.

This webinar deals with virtualization and it s potential use/ benefits within an Imaging environment. Content encompasses the concepts around virtualization, the installation and launching of VMWare, the process of creating virtual machines, installing Server 2008 and hints, tips and Best Practices on using virtual machines.

Webinar Two:
Best Practices for building the Master Machine for HII.

The second webinar in the series looks in detail at the best practices for building a Master machine in preparation for Hardware-Independent Imaging. It takes Participants through a checklist of points to consider and plan for before building the Image. We then work through building what will become the Master Image that will be deployed to disparate target machines.

Webinar Three:
HII using Ghost Solution Suite, DeployAnywhere and the Universal Imaging Utility.

Webinar Three moves to the next stage in the HII process - capturing and deploying the Image file. Participants learn to use GSS to capture the Image and to implement the DeployAnywhere tool to enable the Image file to be received by disparate target machines (e. g. laptop versus desktop, different chip sets, different drivers, etc.) Whilst this webinar builds an XP Image, differences in building a Vista Image are also discussed. Finally, Participants are trained in the use of an alternate technology that works hand-in-hand with Ghost (and most other cloning utilities) in preparing the Image for hardware-independence capability - namely, The Universal Imaging Utility (UIU).

Webinar Four
HII using Vista, MDT and the UIU.

This final webinar in the series focuses on hardware-independent imaging using Vista and MDT. Participants learn to create bootable WIM Images and custom Windows PE Images, utilize ImageX and Sysprep and implement the MDT to deploy the Vista Image files. Participants of this webinar will also see the UIU utilized with the Vista Image files.
