Statistics: An Introduction for Beginners is a course specifically designed for students who desire a basic working knowledge of statistics. The basic ideas of descriptive statistical methods are presented, including frequency distribution, measures of location and variation. Course Outcome

After completing Basic Statistics, students will be equipped with a basic understanding of the following:

-How to determine descriptive statistics from data
-How to use the basic concepts of probability theory
-How to compare population means
-How to analyze variance
-How to apply the above principles using examples and case studies

Recommended Prerequisites

Although no prior experience or coursework is required, a basis knowledge of mathematics is recommended
