The Myths of Speed Reading--Reading Faster to Understand More
Participants discuss their speed reading beliefs and their definition of reading. We match that definition with ours and define speed reading. We give them a pre-test, let them compare their scores with those of average readers; show acutual results from our courses. We practice the speed reading technique of eye to brain response. They learn how the physical aspects of speed reading work and practice comprehension building technigues. They learn a hint to read up to 100 wpm that night with a post test to prove how they did. They learn what a full course encompasses and how to take one.
