Water Well Rehabilitation - Technical Considerations and Economic Advantages

Lorman Education Services
Training Provided by Lorman Education Services nThe decline of global economic conditions has discouraged high-volume water well owners, including municipalities, water companies, industrial entities and other large well owners, from incurring the cost of installing new wells. However, the decline of the economy has not reduced the requirement of water purveyors and other well owners to provide a safe and dependable supply of high-quality groundwater. Recent drought conditions in some areas have increased the demand on groundwater supplies, and in less arid areas groundwater wells are also desirable to mitigate security concerns and treatment costs. This teleconference will help you maximize both the economical and technical considerations for rehabilitation of water wells. The teleconference will include discussions of the maintenance (cleaning) aspects of well rehabilitation and the augmentation (structural modification to achieve improved water quality or greater production) aspects of well rehabilitation. Practical applications and case studies will be used to exemplify the usefulness, and also the pitfalls, of well rehabilitation. n nLearning Objectives n- You will be able to recite techniques for scale removal. n- You will be able to review economic rationale for well cleaning. n- You will be able to propose structural modification of wells to improve water quality. n- You will be able to recall well rehabilitation case studies.
