Training Provided by New Horizons Overview The Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician (MCDST) credential proves that you have the skills to successfully support end users and to troubleshoot desktop environments running Microsoft Windows. Who's It For? The MCDST credential is for IT professionals working in the typically complex computing environment of small, medium, or large organizations. Prerequisites An MCDST candidate should have 6a 12 months of experience supporting end users of a desktop operating system.

Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician MCDST MCDST candidates are required to pass two core exams. Elective exams are not required. The MCDST credential will not retire with the release of Windows Vista certifications; it will continue to be supported by Microsoft and valued by employers and decision makers who use Microsoft Windows XP.
