The National Certificate for Personal Licence Holders (NCPLH) is the prescribed qualification for anyone wishing to apply for a Personal Licence to sell and authorise the sale of alcohol in England and Wales.
The NCPLH is a nationally recognised level 2 qualification, designed to provide the knowledge and information required by anyone wishing to apply to their local authority for a personal licence.

This is due candidates having to demonstrate that they understand the core licensing issues surrounding the Licensing Act 2003 and the associated licensing objectives in order to pass the examination and be awarded their certificate.
