Today is the best day for all engineering graduates and post-graduates to cater the opportunities in CAE field. Many times the lack of awareness restricts students to explore these horizons.
The AiM CFD programs is designed to create awareness and open the door of opportunities to engineering students.
This program is designed for final year Graduate and Post-Graduate students from Mechanical, Automobile, Chemical, Aerospace and Civil streams.
Following are the main objectives we are trying to achieve thoroug this course
a Help engineering graduates to acquire CFD knowledge
a Bridge gap between CFD practitioners and students
a To spread CFD at academic institutes
a To serve better perspective to students
a To attract engineering talent towards core engineering fields

AiM CFD - Academic Internship and Mentorning Program on CFD
AiM CFD Program will be executed in three stages
Stage I :
This stage starts with presentations at various engineering colleges. In this presentation, CFD will be introduced to engineering students. The outline of presentation is
"Know How ?"of CFD : CFD Fundamentals
Applications of CFD in various engineering streams like Mechanical, Automobile, Chemical, Aerospace
Career opportunities in CFD for engineering students
What can be done at graduate level?
Presentation focusing on above topics will be delivered at various engineering institutes who wish to participate in AiM CFD program.
Once CFD is introduced to students, those who wish to participate and get training through AiM-CFD program will from a group of 4-5 students.
The groups who are shortlisted by AiM-CFD coordinator will participate in Stage II and Stage III of AiM-CFD program.
Stage II:
Main aim of this stage is to give introductory training on CFD to students. Stage 2 will start with basic training on CFD. In this stage, the selected group from various engineering institutes will undergo six days training on CFD. Following topics will be covered in this training
Fundamentals of Fluid Mechanics and Heat Transfer
Fundamentals of CFD
Numerical Methods in CFD
Applications of CFD in various engineering domains
With each group of student, the training will be also given to one faculty who will guide students during their project execution. The professor from engineering college who is going to participate in AiM-CFD program will act as main person who will take care of CFD activity at his/ her department.
At the end of this stage, seminars will be assigned to students. These seminars will help students to learn CFD fundamentals in coming semester.
Continuous assessment and guidance will be provided throughout the semester.
Stage III
Aim of Stage III is to introduce CFD software to students. This stage will start with six days of training on commercial CFD software. Following topics will be covered in the training
Training on one pre-processing tool - GAMBIT
Training on one solver - ANSYS FLUENT
Along with training on CFD software, the industry specific training will be also given. At the end of six days training a final project topic will be assigned after discussion with students and their project guide. Students will execute the assigned project during their final semester of engineering.
Continuous assessment and guidance will be provided to students during their project execution
