Design for the Recycling of Pavements

Overview

The use of recycled materials in pavement applications is on the rise. Factors contributing to the increased usage include the reduction of wear and tear on equipment required to haul new materials long distances; development and improvement of the technology and equipment used in the recycling process; and elimination of environmental impacts related to disposing of debris.

This course will provide information on preparing plans and specifications for recycling pavements and for ensuring the quality of recycled bituminous and Portland cement concrete.

The student must take a multiple-choice quiz consisting of twenty (20) questions at the end of the course to obtain PDH credits.
