Exploring Chronic Pain An alternate look at how your brain participates in the pain process
Imagine you have greater control over your pain and the impact it has on your physical body and emotional mind. Imagine you have more choice in the way you live your life.
Pain is an important signal, intended to draw our attention to injury and illness.
However once the source of the pain has healed, the signal occasionally misfires, causing longer term chronic pain. Be it prolonged discomfort after recovery from injury, accident or illness, or be it gradual onset over time such as back pain, headaches and fybromyalgia, it is suggested that as many as 1 in 3 Canadians suffer with ongoing chronic pain*.
Lessen the hold pain has on you by exploring your mindset, your patterns of behaviour and your options. Learn useful tools that utilize your own unique resources and improve the quality of your life.
