Program Overview:
Business Continuity Management (BCM) training will present a holistic process that identifies potential threats to an organization and the impacts to business operations that those threats, if realized, might cause. It provides a framework for building organizational resilience with the capability for an effective response that safeguards the interests of key stakeholders, reputation, brand, and valuea creating activities.
Objectives:
The training seminar is developed to enable the participants develop Enterprise Governance, Risk Management and Compliance (EGRC) practice using the Business Continuity Management System (BCMS) according to the Good Practice Guidelines (GPG) of the Business Continuity Institute (the BCI) and ISO 22301.
Learning outcomes:
The aim of the training is to enable the participants to provide business assurance. At the end of this workshop, the participants should be able to:
-Explain the day to day disruption challenges to business operations.
-Develop BCM Policy Statement.
-Perform Business Impact Assessment (BIA), Continuity Requirements Analysis (CRA) & Risk Analysis (RA).
-Develop Business Continuity Plans (BCPs) using the Good Practice Guidelines 2013 and ISO 22301.
-Exercise and Review BCPs.
Target audience:
This course is designed for executives including: Compliance Officers, Quality Assurance Officers, Internal Auditors, Systems Administrators, Network Engineers, Solutions Developers, Business Analysts, Finance Officers, Supply Chain Officers, Human Resource Officers and Project Officers with interest and responsibility in governance, risk management and compliance.
Pre-requisite/ s:
-Participants should possess at least one year of IT or related experience with additional understanding of critical in the area of business operations.
-Experienced professionals with 3 years or more experience from the security, risk management, facility, IT security, business operations who have direct or indirect responsibilities are encouraged to attend.
