PROMED was established in 1997 to provide a variety of medical related services to businesses. We tailor all of our services to meet your needs and if PROMED is unable to fulfill your requirements, we will assist you in finding someone who can.

Promed is owned and operated by Bill Richter, RN. Bill has been involved in emergency medicine since 1982. He was one of the youngest Emergency Medical Technicians ever certified in Kern County, California. Before going to nursing school he was a paramedic and an emergency room technician.
He has worked in emergency rooms and intensive care units since graduating nursing school in 1985. He has also served as relief supervisor for the University of Hawaii s Hyperbaric Treatment Center and has been a flight nurse for Hawaii Air Ambulance. He has worked at The Queen s Medical Center since 1988 as a staff and charge nurse.
Bill has been involved with educating medical professionals in both basic and advanced cardiac life support since 1989. He holds certifications to teach CPR and first aid by the American Heart Association, American Red Cross, and American Safety and Health Institute. Promed was founded in 1997 to promote CPR and AED training in the public sector.
He is a member of the Hawaii and American Nurse s Associations, Emergency Nurses Association, and The National Flight Nurse s Association.

- I asked: Please send me information on your training to become a CPR instructor. I am currently an RN, with a Hawaii license. Currently, my husband and our family are living and working overseas. There is a need here for medical people and trainers to be able to be re-certified for BCLS CPR certification. I will be back in Hawaii with my family this summer. Please send information including the cost and dates of a course that would certify me to train and certify others. As a school nurse, I provide basic CPR/ AED training to our school staff. But I would also like to be able to provide the course for people to become CPR certified or re-certified by the American Heart Association. What is required to keep a CPR trainer's certification, and how often would I have to renew it? Thank you, about Promed

This is for purposes of setting up an integrat rescue and ground-air mical transport services in the Philippines. I appreciate your crentials and experiences and would like to know if you can be available to conduct such "training the trainors" course here in the Philippines at a given time in the future. - P asked: I am interested in AED's for a homeowners association in Molokai. We have questions regarding price and training. And,we are very concerned regarding maintenance and liability. If we have an AED in our complex, and there is a bad outcome, would that leave the HOA wide open for liability? If we have one and there is no documentation regarding battery checking, etc, would the HOA be liable? And, before I keep the cart before the horse, do you/can you service Molokai?
