Years ago, John Sweeney and the comedy theatre he owns, the Brave New Workshop, began sharing the skills and behaviors of improvisational theatre with companies worldwide. The Brave New Workshop is the longest-running satirical comedy theatre in the United States. For more than ten years, owner John Sweeney has combined his business insight with his passion for improvisation to create a corporate training program that is embraced by leaders at Microsoft, Target, General Mills, and hundreds of others. Using principles derived from improvisational theatre, John addresses specific business challenges by instigating a change in attitudes, behaviors, environments, and/or perceptions in the workplace .

Brave New Institute Improvisation Classes
: As a well-known improvisation school, the Brave New Institute (a learning arm of the Brave New Workshop) offers 8-week classes to study improvisation from three points of view. The tracks include: everyday improv, performance improv, and corporate improv. Each are specific to the goals students hope to achieve.
