Shepherd School is a family orientated personal safety school. We offer firearm training and police equipment to allow our students to better protect themselves and their loved ones. We teach the Tennessee handgun carry permit, armed, unarmed, chemical spray, and baton courses for Tennessee security gaurds, and various NRA courses such as refuse to be a victim, home firearm safety, basic pistol, and personal protection in the home. We sell such equipment as Monadnock, ASP, Def-Tech, CRKT, Columbia River, Bianchi, Galco, 5.11, Fox Labs, and Safariland. We manage an online forum dedicated to the sharing of personal preparedness infromation and techniques. We also provide self-defense articles and encourage the submission of new articles from knowledgeable sources. Our Instructors are NRA all certified, and have a background in either military, private security or law enforcement. We provide modern, up to date methods and techniques that allow our students to solve todays tactical challenges.

Tennessee Armed Security Guard Class
: This class is for people wanting to become armed Security Officers in Tennessee. This is a one day class. The cost for the class is $150.00. That includes targets, printed material and range fee. If you want to obtain your Handgun Carry Permit at the same time the total cost is $200.00
In order to recieve this certification, you must already have a unarmed license.

: This class meets the course requirements of the Tennessee Department of Safety for the TN handgun Carry Permit. It is an 8 hour class. You must bring a handgun along with 50-100 rounds of ammunition. A written exam and a pracical exam on the range must be passed. Preregistration is required. Loaner handguns are available. The option is available for a $10 deposit to reserve your seat.
