DFTC provides a wide range of training and consultancy services to organisations providing services to children such as children's homes, residential schools and other educational settings.
Training is delivered in-house and is bespoke. Most popular amongst our training programmes is the BILD accredited MAPA restraint training programme, a non-aversive and de-escalatory physical interventions programme becoming increasingly used in children's and adult services throughout the UK and further afield.
In addition to outlining the range of training and consultancy services available, the site also brings together as free resource for practitioners a collection of restraint-related guidance and policy documents from the UK government and other agencies.
