I teach the Adobe Creative Suite, specializing in Adobe InDesign. Topics include:
ADVANCED PREFLIGHT/PREPRESS: separations, color issues, ink manager,
trapping, font troubleshooting, preferred graphic formats, packaging, PDF
export settings, optimal print settings (for everything from home ink
printers to digital plate makers).
TRANSPARENCY ISSUES: flattener preview, flattener styles, tips to using
transparency correctly, and what might happen to your job on the RIP if you
don"t!
LONG / COMPLEX DOCUMENTS: proper paragraph, character, nested, and object
styling techniques, getting the most out of master pages, anchored objects,
using the book feature, TOC optimization, advanced search & replace.
OTHER (INDESIGN): advanced graphic tricks, paths, OpenType font
capabilities, proper document setup, calendars (there are a variety of free
solutions to make them very easy to produce), workspace and keyboard
shortcut customization, and of course comprehensive coverage of every single
tool, palette, and menu in InDesign.
ACROBAT: correct PDF settings, PDF optimizer, interactive PDF creation,
forms, security, E-Books, advanced prepress tools.
PHOTOSHOP: Color correction (curves by the numbers), compositing techniques, effects and filters.
