happy.ie was set up in 2000 because there was something missing. At that time I felt that if you "needed a steer with something", or wanted to explore your potential in your personal / professional life or maybe just wanted someone to motivate you to act - you had limited choices. I thought that there were very few "ears" that crossed the work/home divide. There had to be a happy medium between the psychiatrist"s couch and Personnel Department!! - hence happy.ie. My background is in Financial Services in the areas of HR and more specifically in the specialist areas of training and the development of people. I am a qualified user of Myers Briggs Type Indicator ( MBTI ) which helps individuals understand themselves and their behaviours better and in the Profilor instrument which deals with perceptions. I hold qualifications in Counselling and Hypnotherapy, Stress Management Training, Adult Education and Life and Business Coaching. I am a member of The Life and Business Coaching Association of Ireland and the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development. Training courses taught include presentation skills, negotiation skills, performance management. Coaching work - both life and business are also undertaken.
