We are conversant with a range of theories governing learning styles. Courses blend "talk and chalk" with active discovery learning. These have included jury sessions based on real cases taken by real people,one to one to interviews,plenary debates,action planning, quizzes,fact sheets,a media observatory session,a locality focus,role play and even exhibitions! We have also co-tutored or co-trained some events and believe we bring a balanced approach to sharing this teamwork so that mutual strengths can be deployed for delegates as well as learning from colleagues.
We have also worked on distance learning packages before and after a formal training room event leading to either in house performance assessment decisions and/or external accreditation through the Open College,Modern Apprenticeship Programmes, Adult Learning Inspectorate,English Tourism Council and the Workers Education Association.
We also ensure that all courses are equality proofed in terms of design,delivery and subsequent evaluation. A parking bay mechanism fronts all training in order to provide a post course organisational report/recommendations/enquiries for the appropriate in house contact.Any remedial points identified in evaluation sheets are usually actioned within 7 working days or whatever the client requires.
In an ideal world, 14 to 16 delegates would be wonderful, but we know this can be problematical. We have worked recently on a series of courses where the client insisted on sending 25+ delegates. We are quite comfortable,however, addressing and engaging much larger seminar type audiences and indeed have addressed delegates in their hundreds at various conferences and away days.We are very flexible and can adapt quickly to adjust to an audience.
We strongly believe in "joined up thinking" which means ensuring that the design, pre course work, actual delivery and post evaluation stages are not only threaded together but linked firmly to wider in house corporate protocols,systems and procedures.These should also be robust enough to withstand external scrutiny to which many organisations and companies are subject.
Wesometimes have support from training administration staff but as a former managers, are quite comfortable dealing with and processing in house registration formalities,domestic arrangements and other logistical matters impacting upon the training event. We am also happy to provide written feedback with statistical data and synopsis very promptly after any training event.
Finally,we have the ability to "run" with a clients own training script and/or stand in at the last minute to cover for absent colleagues.
