FCSL provide comprehensive training programmes for organisations that develop software or commission its development. rnrnrnrnIntegrated LearningrnrnrnrnUsing an approach which we describe as Integrated Learning, we incorporate both theoretical and practical skills and focus on the actual roles to be performed on a project rather than simply background concepts. Our courses are highly modular rn most modules are 4 to 6 hours in length rn and are designed to be immediately consolidated by project work. rnrnrnrnTraining activities can be scheduled as part of the project plan for the development project into which new techniques are being introduced. Courses are delivered "just in time" and can be followed up with desk-side mentoring sessions and team tutorials based on real project deliverables. rnrnrnrnPersonal Development PlansrnrnrnrnFor each individual, we identify required skills, assess current capabilities, plan a training programme, schedule project activity, recognise accomplishments and conduct regular reassessments. When carried out on a project basis, i.e. when it includes all project team members, this allows us to determine whether the transfer of other skills into the project is necessary to ensure success. rnrnrnrnCustomised TrainingrnrnrnrnWe can tailor courses to focus on specific, useful skills by adapting standard training material to a clientrns requirements.
