Watford-based West Herts College, is running a series of SIA-approved door supervisor courses. And because the course is run by a Further Education college, not a private training provider, the cost is just GDP155 inclusive

Unit 2 - Conflict Management for Door Supervisors
This includes candidates managing conflict by applying dynamic risk approaches, understanding the importance of self-awareness and acting proactively; how to resolve conflict and how to learn from conflict.
Unit 2 - Conflict Management:
* introduction to communication skills and Conflict Management
* self-awareness
* avoiding conflict
* effective communication and customer service skills
* recognising and defusing conflict
* maintaining space
* defusing high risk conflict
* resolving conflict
* learning from conflict
This nationally recognised qualification will be the industry standard and will enable a door supervisor to apply for a licence to practise.
What are the benefits of obtaining this qualification?
On successful completion, candidates receive a nationally recognised certificate for each unit, awarded by the BIIAB stating the candidate has successfully achieved the Level 2 National Certificate for Door Supervisors, and an overarching certificate when both units have been successfully completed.
Courses are run by friendly and professional trainers, and will run at flexible times to suit your needs
you can choose to study from Monday to Thursday or over two consecutive weekends. It is easily accessible, being close to Watford town centre and conveniently located for access by road, rail and tube networks, with free car parking on site.
