Arcadia Alive was formed in 1997 with the aim to assist people in challenging circumstances to cope and improve their life at work.

Conflict Management Skills



: This conflict management course benefits individuals and teams who have to deal with conflict and difficult people in their workplace. The course is modularised to adapt to the needs of participants who may be dealing with conflict from either external customers, internal customers or within their team.
It is a highly practical course and participants learn through a range of training approaches including short demonstrations, skills practice, reflection and discussion. PowerPoint is used minimally!

Handling Conflict on the Phone



: This course benefits individuals and teams who have to respond to 'external' or 'internal' customers over the phone. It equips participants with the understanding and ability to manage conflict and difficult situations on the phone.
This is a practical course, participants learn through a range of training approaches including short demonstrations, skills practice, reflection and discussion. PowerPoint is used minimally!
Safe Lone Working



: Small things account for big risks when you are working alone, particularly if the environment is 'off-site' and unknown to you. These risks need to be addressed in order to ensure the personal safety of lone workers.
If you are a health visitor, care worker, taxi driver, meter reader, transport or delivery worker, emergency services or security worker, to name but a few, you will need to know the risks associated with your particular job, the practical control measures you can employ, and have a toolbox of strategies at hand to tackle conflict or aggression. And this is where this excellent training course comes in!
Train the Trainer
: Training people can be a daunting task for the inexperienced trainer, particularly if the subject is new or unfamiliar. This exceptional Train the Trainer programme addresses the double task of building the confidence of members of staff to train and coach, whilst at the same time practising the key conflict management and/or personal safety skills we teach. The process of training in-house trainers is worth the effort to embed new behaviour changes and positive change throughout the organisation.
