At the completion of BSB41604, graduates will have skills and knowledge required to carry out the role of entry level OHS officer or fulfil supervisor positions with a major workload in OHS. Participants successfully completing all 10 units are issued a Qualification. If a participant does not complete all units, a Statement of Attainment is issued detailing the units completed. Participants completing BSB41604 may go on to study the Diploma of Occupational Health and Safety Who Should Attend It is recommended, that participants are in employment or have access to a workplace for completion of assessment tasks, have good writing, and computing skills, and a basic understanding of arithmetic and mathematical concepts. Certificate III in Occupational Health and Safety (BSB31604) The course consists of 6 days structured learning, followed by approximately 200 hours of self-directed student work over 12 months. At the completion of BSB31606, graduates will have the skills and knowledge required to carry out the role of health and safety representative, entry level OHS officer or fulfil supervisor positions with OHS Responsibilities. Participants successfully completing all 12 units of the certificate are issued a Qualification. If a participant does not complete all of the units, a Statement of Attainment is issued detailing the units completed. Participants completing BSB31606 (Certificate III in OHS) may go on to complete the Certificate IV in Occupational Health and Safety. Certificate II (Civil Construction) Lay Pipes The Course consists of 1 day onsite training session with a practical element. This course is designed to develop the skills and knowledge required to lay pipes in accordance with Australian Standards. It provides participants with information on planning and preparation specifications, instruction on how to set out the excavation and the methods of installing bedding, laying pipe and cleaning up. Install Primary Ground Support (Trench support/ excavation safety) This course is designed to provide practical training on trench shoring and safety. During the course participants will be required to excavate and install primary ground support systems and physically demonstrate competency within a simulated/ controlled trench environment using provided equipment.
