Education Works Consulting Services, LLC (EWCS) is a consul-ting firm that offers an extensive array of educational, supportive and training services. Our belief is that "Knowledge is Power" therefore our services are geared towards assisting individuals to heighten their awareness level and expand their knowledge base in key areas of interest.

My name is Ivette Ruiz. I have been a National Educator, Motivational Speaker, Professor, Counselor and Trainer for over 20 years. I have experience working and providing services in the areas of Youth Development, Youth Spirituality, Education, Diversity, Personal Growth, Advocacy and Leadership to name a few. I am also the director of Education Works Consulting Services (EWCS) LLC, an agency focused in professional development and personal growth training.
I would like to welcome everyone to the new school year 2010-2011 and invite you to learn more about this year s upcoming training opportunities designated to enhance each individuals learning s, awareness and character building potentials.

Body Image & Self-Image (Youth): Today s culture promotes unrealistic and narrow standards of what is acceptable and attractive, increasing negative self-image and stress that can all too often undermine-self-esteem and encourage feelings of inadequacy. In this workshop teens will learn how to own, accept and manage their feelings and how to build self-esteem.
Diversity 101 (Youth): We all have blind spots when living or working with other people. It s not our fault. No matter what the Dimensions of Diversity there are misunderstandings, judgments and assumptions. There will always be days when we don t know what to say or do. This interactive workshop looks at the many positive contributions of all individuals and offers new perspectives and skills to help you understand and get along with others better.
Letters 2 God (Youth): This interactive workshop will promote youth empowerment and will encourage participants to a youth leadership that will understand that in order to be good leaders they first need to know themselves and lead their own lives so that they can lead others and have social impact. Participants will have an opportunity to explore their own spirituality, beliefs system, identity, vocation, participation and role in their faith community so that they can have an impact on their future lives. Worship and praying techniques will be shared.
Spiritual Parent & Child Retreat (All Ages): If you are like many parents and caretakers, spending an entire day with your daughter or son is a rare treat. No phones, TV, or errands just the two of you. Through lively discussions and fun activities, parents and children will learn to discover each other, re-connect, talk and create an action plan to maintain a healthy family communication and build closer relationships together.
Sexting & Cyber-Bullying (Youth): Session I: This workshop is aimed at educating teens on the dangers of Sexting and Cyber-Bullying In this workshop teens will increase their awareness of the consequences of sending or receiving explicit sexual, harassing or threatening text messages through various means of electronic communications including social networking websites.
Sexting & Cyber-Bullying (Adults): Session II: In this workshop caretakers and educators will learn skills on recognition and prevention. Participants will increase their awareness and learn solutions to eradicate Sexting & Cyber-Bullying by having a clear understanding of the who, what, where and how s of bullying as well as gain knowledge of effective methods to communicate and empower youth in making good decisions.
Woman s Inspirational Day (Adults): When was the last time you took an entire afternoon away to access that powerful feminine woman within? In this workshop participants will engage in interactive dialogues, journaling, self-reflections and self-discoveries. In a safe-space participants will connect, play, rejuvenate and spend time in nature. This is the perfect opportunity to meet new friends, network, relax and listen to what you need
