RatherbyBrannon is an independent career coaching firm in Athens, GA. What we do is mostly defined by our clients needs. They come to us because they are dissatisfied with some aspect of their work-life. Some need help with challenging situations at work, while others need an objective thought-partner as they contemplate major career changes. Our clients have found that partnering with a career coach has helped them develop and execute positive career strategies more successfully. Personal RainMaker Summer of Learning This program is a collaborative workshop that teaches many soft skills that can improve a student's success in school and work. They will learn this while researching their career field of choice all assignments are related to a subject in which they have great interest and that they have chosen. Students will learn more about the importance of positive attitude, critical thinking, persuasion, goal setting, project management, teamwork, leadership, listening, and communication. They will develop a list of their personal attributes and be able to give an example of how they got them, polish a brief resume, and conduct panel interviews so they can see employee selection from the employer s point of view. They will learn more about their career field of choice through research and informational interviews. They will walk away with a solid knowledge of what they can offer a potential employer and have the confidence to tell them what value they will bring, they will have a portfolio of completed projects to illustrate the research they have done on their career field of choice, and they will have at least one personal contact within that field. We are excited about the program and are looking for people ready to join us for a summer of learning. We are only charging a commitment fee of $75 to cover the cost of the room. We expect the following classes to cost between $675 and $750 per person. This pilot program will be held weekly on Thursday evenings, 6:30-9:30, at the Holiday Inn in Athens, GA. The first class starts May 17th and will run for 10 weeks (4th of July week will be off) until July 26th.
