Languages POINT is an excellent language school offering Italian courses for foreign students on one of the most beautiful islands in the Mediterranean Sea: Sardinia. THE ISLAND OF SARDINIA AND PORTO TORRES Sardinia is a large island situated in the middle of the Mediterranean Sea. It is unique and very old, rich in colours, scents, aromas, culture and exquisite flavours. It is a 24.000 square km succession of hills, evocative mountains and beautiful plateaus, surrounded by approximately 2.000 km of coastline with the most wonderful sea, transparent water with amazingly different colours that vary from light green to emerald green and from light blue to turquoise and onto dark blue. The mild climate which is influenced by African and Atlantic climates, provides an average of 300 sunny days a year and thanks to the mistral, the dominant wind, the summer heat is endurable. Languages POINT is situated in Porto Torres in the northern part of the island. It is a modern and dynamic small town with an important industrial and commercial port. The seaside offers many small beautiful beaches consisting mostly of flat rocks which give you the feeling of being on the edge of a large swimming pool.For those who like walking, the seafront is the place to go and for cyclists there is is a wonderful cycle path which runs along the coast. What makes this town so appealing is the fact that it is tranquil and very close to the main tourist centres but without the disadvantages of the busy tourist areas: it is safe, not crowded and not very big so that everything is within walking distance and especially made for people who want to learn Italian without being tempted to speak another language. To cut it short, there is everything for a relaxing holiday, but also the sporty type will be able to choose among various activities and people who enjoy the busy night life will find all the excitements and entertainment they look for. LANGUAGE COURSES All our courses are held by highly qualified teachers, specialized and accredited in the teaching of Italian as a second language. They all have a degree in languages and are native speakers. Languages POINT offers two types of courses: Standard courses in small groups and individual courses. Our standard courses are the quickest and best way to learn Italian in small groups of not more than 8 students per class. These courses are held from Monday to Friday (9 a.m. to 1 p.m.) and have a minimum duration of one week the perfect choice for people who want to make the most of an Italian course as well as enjoying the pleasures of a holiday in Sardinia. For students who need to personalize lesson times and days, need to study specific aspects of the language or wish to receive maximum benefits from a course, we offer individual courses where students can dedicate up to 8 hours a day to the learning of the languages including lunch with the teacher. ACCOMMODATION SERVICE If desired, Languages POINT is pleased to assist students in the reservation of one of the various kinds of accomodation on offer, in the certainty of finding exactly what you are looking for: a single room with a host family or in an apartment to share or a room in a hotel. All of our accomodation has been carefully selected by our staff and is, therefore, absolutely reliable. EXTRA-ACTIVITIES The school offers different choices of activities for people who wish to spend their leisure time with our staff that organizes daily trips and guided walks to different places of interest giving you the opportunity of practizing the language outside the classroom.
