The Swamp School is an educational institution established to offer quality instruction for the environmental industry. Our main courses of study are partitioned into three broad categories:

The Swamp School is a wholly owned subsidiary of Cill Ide Native Plant Nursery. Our instructors are senior environmental scientists, planners and engineers. All of our instructors have extensive field experience and bring to the classroom a wealth of knowledge.

Environmental First Responder Awareness Level


: This course encapsulates sensitive issues regarding emergency response level II. This is an advanced level in which responders are directly involved in the action of mitigating hazardous chemical release. Chemicals, if handled improperly, can become a hazard that could be a serious threat to human life and the environment. To reduce or eliminate these hazards, emergency response and awareness levels have been set up to recognize these hazards and minimize the risk to human life and environmental damage.
Hazwoper 24 Hour Course


: This course fulfills your requirements for certification under 29 CFR, Part 1910. 120 (q), or other applicable state regulations for certification to the 24-hour Occasional Site Worker level.
Hazwoper 40 Hour Course


: This course is designed for workers who are involved in clean-up operations of hazardous substances or uncontrolled hazardous waste sites.
Hazwoper 8 Hour Annual Refresher Course


: This course meets the requirements in OSHA 29 CFR 1910. 120 for eight hours of annual refresher training for workers at hazardous waste sites.
HAZWOPER 8 hr Refresher with Blood Borne Pathogens Module


: This course meets the requirements in OSHA 29 CFR 1910. 120 for eight hours of annual refresher training for workers at hazardous waste sites.
Hazwoper First Responder Operations Level II


: This course covers broad issues pertaining to the hazard recognition at work sites.
OSHA - 10 Hour Construction Industry Outreach Training Program


: This course covers ten (10) hours of courses, required by the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OSHA), that apply toward 10-hour Construction Industry course completion card. This module is comprised of 12 sections, covering topics pertaining to regulations covered by Standard 29 CFR 1926. The successful completion of this course will help to meet the Construction Industry standards established by OSHA.
OSHA - 10 Hour General Industry Outreach Training Program


: This course covers ten (10) hours of courses, required by the OSHA that apply toward 10-hour General Industry course completion card.
OSHA - 30 Hour Construction Industry Outreach Training Program


: This module covers thirty (30) hours of courses, required by the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OSHA), that apply toward 30-hour Construction Industry course completion card. This module is comprised of 23 sections, each either one or two hours in length, and covering topics pertaining to regulations covered by Standard 29 CFR 1926. The successful completion of this course will help to meet the Construction Industry standards established by OSHA.
OSHA 30 Hr General Industry Outreach Training


: This course covers 24 training modules, required by the Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OSHA)that apply toward 30-hour General Industry course completion card.
