The Modeling Agency

The Modeling Agency
The Modeling Agency (TMA) is a structured, redundant network of senior-level data mining consultants, associate modelers, application programmers, project managers and technical documentation specialists. The Modeling Agency (TMA) provides data mining guidance and results for those who are data-rich, yet information-poor through a structured network of independent consultants, or agents.
The Modeling Agency offers two vendor-neutral predictive analytics courses with distinct objectives. The courses are designed to be attended independently, or as a series. While the two levels are staged as a progression, they should not be viewed as "introductory and advanced." The following descriptions outline the orientation, scope, focus and depth of each course:
PREDICTIVE ANALYTICS & DATA MINING I: MODEL DEVELOPMENT
A Tactical Drill-Down of Process, methods, Tools and Techniques
Geared to: business analysts, functional analysts, model-builders, decision support developers, IT professionals
PREDICTIVE ANALYTICS & DATA MINING II: STRATEGIC IMPLEMENTATION
Project Design and Practical Use Workshop to Discover What Really Works
Geared to: project leaders, stakeholders, functional managers
The Modeling Agency's training schedule contains details on upcoming events, availability, instructor bios, pricing, secure registration and site details for Las Vegas, Washington-DC, Orlando and Denver. The popular series has been running for ten years and may be offered at your site.

Traditionally, organizations use data tactically - to manage operations. For competitive edge, leading organizations use data strategically - to expand the business, to improve profitability, to reduce costs, anticipate behavior, and market more effectively. The mining of data for predictive and descriptive indicators creates information assets that an organization can leverage to achieve these strategic objectives.

The Modeling Agency (TMA) offers training (public and on-site), mentorship and consultative support to enable progressive organizations to establish a self-sustainable internal predictive modeling practice. TMA's services evolve around applying industry best-practices to develop an effective data mining process, then transfer the knowledge and reinforce the skills to maintain an efficient predictive modeling factory.

All clients are encouraged to start with TMA's data mining course series in order to appreciate data mining's capabilities and limitations, risks and rewards, and of course, find that The Modeling Agency's name is not just tongue-in-cheek, but fully descriptive of what we do and who we are

Predictive Analytics and Data Mining - Model Development instructor led traininggroup study and discussion : ABOUT THIS COURSE The Modeling Agency's "Model Development" course presents a deep dive into the data mining process at a tactical level. Attendees will observe demonstrations of machine learning methods and computer-guided analytical techniques for extracting and interpreting complex patterns and relationships from large volumes of data. If you desire an intensive tactical orientation to data mining concepts, tools, techniques and supporting methods, then this event is designed for you. This vendor-neutral course broadly covers data-driven information discovery more...
Predictive Analytics and Data Mining - Strategic Implementation instructor led traininggroup study and discussion : ABOUT THIS COURSE Data mining is essentially a discovery process -- a process riddled with common yet elusive strategic pitfalls. Project failure is rarely due to poor model development. Rather, data mining projects often fall short of their potential due to flawed or overlooked assessment, business understanding, project definition and strategic planning specifically for information discovery. If you are looking for an intensive vendor-neutral and non-promotional introduction to data mining best practices and an approach to predictive analytics which is critical to modeling success, then this course is designed for you. There are no prerequisites for more...

Data Mining Failure to Launch, How To Get Predictive Modeling Off The Ground And Into Orbit instructor led trainingon-line e-learning cbt (computer based)group study and discussioncourseware : WHAT'S COVERED The vast majority of BI professionals are excited about the prospects of data mining and predictive analytics, but are fully mystified about where to begin or even how to prepare. Of those who did initiate a modeling initiative, a recent industry survey of predictive analytics practitioners reports that 51% of data mining projects either never left the ground, did not realize value, or the ultimate results were not measurable. In most cases, those who attempted an implementation ended up building valid models that were noninterpretable or answered the wrong questions. They essentially placed a perfectly good rocket upside down on the launch more...
