Mental Health at Work for Managers
: an awareness raising training programme for managers at all levels. Recognising workplace stress is an essential part of good practice for all organisations who want to maintain a mentally healthy workplace. Employees who develop a mental health problem in the workplace and are supported through this are less likely to go off on long-term sickness absence and therefore cost the company significantly less in terms of cost and productivity. The Scottish Government estimates that each case of stress-related ill health leads to an average of 29 working days lost per person per episode. Can you afford not to be more mentally aware?
