Since 1983, the Training Institute of the National Conflict Resolution Center (NCRC) has provided exceptional mediation training using both theoretical principles and experiential techniques.

CUSTOMIZED COURSES AND TRAINING
The Training Institute designs customized courses, workshops, and on-site conflict coaching for the specific needs of corporations & public agencies.
INTRODUCTORY MEDIATION SKILLS TRAINING
This intensive 32-hour skill building course teaches NCRC's classic six-stage facilitative mediation process through a combination of lectures, simulations, and participatory exercises, including seven mock mediations. Mediation skills enhance effectiveness in dealing with a wide array of professional and personal challenges. The training provides essential skills to anyone who plans to make a more active role in conflict resolution.
ADVANCED MEDIATION SKILLS TRAINING
Building on the facilitative mediation model presented in the Introductory Mediation Skills course, this highly interactive course offers advanced mediation techniques for situations that challenge even seasoned mediators: dealing with impasse, high conflict personalities, ethical dilemmas, multi-party mediation. This 32 hour course provides substantial opportunities for individual skill development and feeback.
MEDIATOR CREDENTIAL
NCRC's unique Mediator Credential offers serious practitioners a methodical approach to acquiring and practicing entry level mediation skills. The program has three components: 32 hours of introductory mediation skills training, supervised mediation experience and a final performance evaluation based on 18 skill sets. Developed in 1993, this internationally recognized program accepts a limited number of candidates per quarter. Average time to complete the program is 6-12 months.

2nd Annual Winter Institute The Art Practice of Mediation



: The program includes 2 weeks of Mediation Training: our 4-day Introductory Mediation Skills Course, and a 4-day Advanced Mediation Skills Course (64 hours of training).
The purpose of the Winter Institute is to provide a "one-shot" deal, in which someone interested in learning mediation can travel to San Diego, from anywhere in the world, and take either one or both courses.

NCRC presents 2010 Winter Institute on The Art Practice of Mediation



: NCRCa s classic facilitative mediation model is introduced and reinforced over two weeks of sequential learning. The courses can be taken separately or together for a total of 64 hours of mediation training. Introductory Mediation Skills Training (32 hours) in the first week is followed after a weekend break with Advanced Mediation Skills Training (32 hours) which introduces new techniques that will challenge even seasoned mediators.
NCRC presents Mediating the Litigated Case


: For the many attorneys and/ or mediators who want to learn more specific techniques used for effectively mediating a litigated case, this day of hands-on practical training is right for you! An advanced one-day course in the nuances of mediating cases involved in litigation. Covers topics from involving the attorneys to documenting the settlement. Attendees will receive 7 hours of MCLE credit.
