Passionwerx is a research and consulting firm focused on dramatically growing individual and organizational performance.
Over the past 25 years, Jim Olson and Jack Mateffy, have provided organizational development, communication and marketing solutions for clients across the country. In the process we studied the distinct differences between high performing organizations and their less successful peers. We found a direct correlation between the strength of an organization's employee engagement level and the strength of their corporate growth and profits. We also found that most organizations had a corporate culture that led to average or below average levels of employee engagement. A few organizations did have cultures that ignited the collective passions of employees to achieve excellent results, however, even they had difficulty sustaining high levels of performance.
To help our clients capitalize on the competitive advantage of having consistently high employee engagement levels, we formed Passionwerx .
Look around you. You can probably tell who is passionate, who is just marking time, and who seems to fall at the midpoint between those extremes. But what is it that makes work a destination for some and a drag for others? What is the quality that separates the star performers from the also-rans? Its engagement the degree to which each of us is connected with the work we do and the organization for which we do it. People who are engaged with their work believe two things about the organizations for which they do it:
#1. The organization is interested in who they are as individuals. Their unique blends of skill, talents, and interests matters.
#2. The organization has its own passionate purpose through which employees can apply thier individual passions.
#3. The organization values and will act upon their ideas for improving the work they do and the organization they are a part of.
PassionWerx Igniting Employee Engagement Programs are designed to address all three of these. To prove the efficacy of our process, please contact us to set a phone or face-to-face meeting. We guarantee that after a 90 minute meeting, you'll see your own career in a new and more motivating way. The PassionWerx Igniting Employee Engagement Program
Introduction
According to research by the Gallup Organization, only 27 percent of American workers are engaged with their work. 59 percent come to work and collect a paycheck, but their hearts (and therefore their heads) aren't in what they're doing. The remaining 13 percent are actively disengaged and generously share their discontent. To make matters worse, no matter how engaged employees are when hired, six months later only 38 percent remain so.
American organizations spends billions each year trying to create workplace climates that set the stage for engaged performance. We conduct employee satisfaction surveys, find new and ever more expensive ways to pat workers on the back, and point them toward compelling mission statements. But the results don't last. The problem? These efforts ignore a key fact: organizations are made of individuals, each with unique work-related passions. The expression of those passions (or the lack of it) determines the degree to which they're connected with their work and the organization for which they do it. That is why organization-wide, one size fits all engagement programs make so little long-term impact on performance.
The 27 percent of engaged employees have often found their own way of bringing their passions to bear on the work they do. Everyone else is on a continuum from confusion about what they want in a job to certainty that the one they have doesn't provide it. So, how do you tap the well of inspired performance in that remaining 73 percent? How do you help those employees identify what could make them passionate about their work? How do you keep those already engaged from losing their momentum?
To help you bring the power of engagement to any organization, PassionWerx offers the comprehensive PassionWerx Individual and Organizational Engagement Program.
