This was completed both within budget and ahead of schedule and is now an in service item of Automated Test Equipment being used for Tornado and Typhoon equipment.
From this start Gaddon Consultants have worked at many levels, from small companies requiring RF support, to system analysis and design for complete aircraft avionics testing. During this time Gaddon Consultants have also produced and presented several training courses on both the use and serving of specific ATE systems and more general RF engineering.
Gaddon Consultants have recently teamed up with Electronics Yorkshire to present a new Introduction to RF engineering course aimed at personnelwith no Radio Frequency experience and those entering the RF field for the first time.
Gaddon Consultants customers have included; Teradyne, Defence Logistics Organisation (DLO), DARA Sealand, DSG, Selex, BAE and Symtx.
Gaddon s services include:-
RF Support. From Ultra Low Frequency to Microwave, Gaddon Consultants engineers can help you make your RF or Microwave project work first time on time.
Automated Test Equipment (ATE). From Feasibility to Whole life support. Either for a new project or replacing aging equipment Gaddon Consultants engineers can help you make the right choices
Project Support and solutions. Gaddon can help with independent overview and technical support for your RF Project, from the germ of an idea to final implementation they use many techniques including Lean Manufacturing, Six-Sigma and Integrated Logistics.
Technical Training. Gaddon can produce a specific course or present your course, how, when and where you need it. This can also include a Training Needs Analysis where required. Gaddon Consultants also has general RF engineering courses available either on site or at a suitable location, e. g. Electronics Yorkshire.

: Digital Modulation and Frequency Division Techniques is a Tutor led course covering many of the Digital techniques used in the Radio Frequency spectrum. This training course is designed to give engineers new to the RF and digital modulation field background knowledge to allow them to carry out their duties efficiently and with a good understanding of the techniques used.
Depending on the student experience the course is either 2 or 3 days and more...
Introduction to Radio Frequency RF Engineering

: This is an introductory course designed to give management and sales staff a working background knowledge of RF engineering.
For engineers this course is also a gateway into more in depth short courses on further aspects of RF engineering.
The course is tutor led over 2 days with practical demonstrations and exercises to reinforce aspects of RF engineering.
This course is run in Yorkshire and is also available on-site worldwide.
Radio Frequency Electronics
: This course covers basic electronic principles from Ohms Law and capacitor theory through to Digital Modulation and EMC with the emphasis on their use within RF circuits. The mathematics that although The course is modular so closed courses can be tailored to match customers requirements. If all modules are incuded the course is 15 days.
Open courses are 5 days covering basic subjects.
Subjects covered include: Resistance, Capacitance, more...
RF engineering Link Budgets and Losses
: A one day course covering Link budget calculation and the posible losses that need to be considered when planning an RF project. This course is aimed at managers and engineers for whom link budgets and path calculation are part of their projects.
