Medical Services Training (MST) specialises in providing training for non medical staff working in a healthcare or healthcare related environment. We work with health insurance companies, social services and private healthcare providers together with non-clinical members of the NHS. In addition to medical terminology, we also cover prescription medicines, summarising medical records, understanding test investigations, dental terminology, together with introductions to various conditions (oncology, cardiology, orthopaedics etc.) Based in the UK we run courses throughout the country through a network of associate trainers. We often run in-house programmes for clients but also set up open (public) courses in various locations.

MST specialises in delivering classroom based training programmes for those working in a medical environment but who do not have a medical background.

We work very closely with the NHS in the UK, together with various health insurance companies and social services departments.

Our courses are fun and interactive and enable delegates to understand and apply the contents so ensuring they are more confident and effective in their day to day roles.

All delegates attending a course receive a comprehensive course manual and certificate of attendance.

In-house courses are available as well as public courses for individuals throughout the UK.

Introduction to Medical Terminology : This is a one day introductory course for non-clinical staff working in a healthcare or health insurance environment. The course will enable delegates to be able to: - explain the concept that medical terminology can be broken down into component parts of prefixes, root words and suffixes; - state the meanings of commonly used prefixes, suffixes and root words in medical terms; - decipher terminology associated with various diseases; - recognise commonly used abbreviations and medical symbols; - obtain a fundamental understanding of the body structure and systems; - explain the six categories in which the body is studied.

Presentation Skills : The ability to communicate effectively in today's world is a vital characteristic of every successful leader. This interactive course is designed to enable participants to learn how to deliver memorable and successful presentations with high impact. During the course, participants will deliver a short presentation and will receive feedback from the course tutor and, on the two day course, from other participants.
