Employees are the most valuable asset in any organisation. Scones Consulting aim to ensure that the wellbeing of that asset is taken care of. We offer training in the management of HIV/ AIDS in the workplace. We provide information to both the employer and the employees to help eliminate the stigma associated with HIV/ AIDS. We believe that healthy employees are productive employees. Management of HIV/ AIDS in the workplace help to minimize absenteeism related to effects of HIV/ AIDS on both employees and their families. We offer awareness programmes as well as offering tools for the organization to distribute information on HIV/ AIDS to its employees.

SCONES CONSULTING is the subsidiary of SCONES CONTRACTING AND TRADING. SCONES CONSULTING is EME Level 3 B-BBEE Contributor. It is a100 black owned company with 60 women ownership. It was established in January 2008 with the aim of contributing to the reconstruction and development initiatives of our country by developing skills. SCONES CONSULTING have learning programmes on HIV/ AIDS and Occupational Health and Safety aimed at improving and maintaining the productivity of the work force in South Africa by ensuring not only safe work place but also healthy workforce. SCONES CONSULTING is currently in the process of getting Accreditation with HWSETA.

- A asked: Dear Sir, I am pleased to contact you in the framework of a new EU-funded mission which takes place in South Africa; the project is called For the appointment of a Training Team for the Programme of Support to Local Economic Development in the Eastern Cape, Republic of South Africa . We are looking for experts, available and interested to cooperate with us in this new mission, here the profiles: Expert No : Team leader, Category II: Team Leader & Key Municipal Development Expert: - The Team Leader should have an appropriate university degree and/ or other relevant tertiary education and training the social sciences. - S/ he must be knowledgeable in local economic development policy, development facilitation and management, and must be conversant with the Eastern Cape experience in local government development, and its facilitation and management of local economic development. - The Team Leader will have experience in the design and leadership of the execution of local government development strategy and programmes, including training programmes in LED. - S/ he must also be experienced in the leadership of specialist professionals as envisaged for this contract, and will also have sound project management skills. - The Team Leader should also be skilled in working with diverse stakeholders in the public, non-governmental and private sectors. - A minimum of ten years of the foregoing experience would be required. - The Team Leader must be a highly motivated innovator with excellent written and communication skills, fluent in written and spoken English, while proficiency in the indigenous languages of the Eastern Cape will be an added advantage. - S/ he will also be ICT-proficient, especially with regard to familiarity with standard computer programs. Expert No : Category II: Local Economic Development Facilitation Expert: - This expert, with a relevant university or equivalent qualification, will be chiefly responsible for leading the planning and execution of training and applied work in the field, working with all stakeholders on the project. - The expert will have considerable experience in the planning and leading of stakeholder mobilisation and participatory development processes, facilitation and management of public development exercises, as well as the design, facilitation and management of applied training and capacity-building programmes. - A minimum of five years of the above experience would be preferred. - The expert will also be a confident and competent communicator in written and spoken English, with proficiency in local indigenous languages an added advantage. - S/ he will also be proficient in the use of the computer, while experience of the use of other information and communication technology relevant for this programme will be an added advantage.
