We have a distance-learning training program done online and by phone. We emphasize self-empowerment through being in harmony with "all my relations."

The Center for Shamanic Practice, Inc. exists to offer holistic healing and Shamanic Training. We offer healing, soul retrieval, extraction, drumming circles and Shamanic Healing Training and Vision Quest retreats. Services are local and by distance.
The Columbus, Ohio Shamanism Training is currently taking requests for training, and will commence when we have enough people to make a class. In the meantime, private tutoring is available.
VISION QUEST 2011 - June 24-26, 2011, in south central Ohio, roughly an hour from Columbus, Dayton, and Cincinnati. (Location disclosed only to registered participants for safety sake) Far back into time, people have gone to the wilderness to seek guidance, inspiration and renewal, to let their old lives and old selves die, to find the conditions where spirit may be rekindled, reborn within them. This journey is commonly called a Vision Quest.
You are invited to a Vision Quest Weekend Friday, June 24 through Sunday, June 26, 2011. Orientation begins at 9 a. m. on Friday. Vision Quest concludes with a fast-breaking and processing session Sunday afternoon.
Vision Quest Options: Because Vision Quest may be a new idea for retreatants, we have designed this one to have many options to accommodate your individual needs.
Option 1 Do a Vision Quest camped out on the land, with only water (no food) for 48 hours. You will arrive by 9: 00 a. m. on Friday, June 24. You will be guided through an orientation, select your campsite, be given supplies. You are not expected to fast from water. You will process the experience in the circle with skilled facilitators, breaking your fast and silence at 12 noon on Sunday. You must provide your own tent, or sleep in the open without one.
Option 2 Do your Vision Quest on the land during the day, but you will come in to lodge at night. You will still fast from food, and observe silence. You will break the fast and silence at lunch Sunday, and process the experience in the circle. .
Option 3 Do your Vision Quest Retreat Style , staying in the lodge, having three meals a day, but keeping silence except at meals. You will close with a group process after lunch on Sunday.
Option 4 Do your Vision Quest with full meals and talking, and with one group meeting on Friday, one on Saturday, one half hour of Spiritual Direction on Saturday, and a closing circle on Sunday. You will close with a group process after lunch on Sunday.
Vision Quest is limited to 12 people. Leadership provided by Deborah and Stan Ling, both seasoned retreat leaders. Hope Springs Retreat Center is an incredibly nurturing sacred space. The cost for the entire weekend is $375 for those fasting and $400 for those partaking of lovingly prepared, home-cooked meals, payable in advance, and nonrefundable. A $100 deposit will hold your place, payable immediately. Full payment is due on June 1, 2011, no refunds will be given. Send to Deborah Ling, Center for Shamanic Practice, 37 E.
