MiND: Media Independence is a new television and internet channel devoted to community empowerment, lifelong learning, and short-form, community-generated content. MiND TV s innovative format consists entirely of 5-minute programs about a wide variety of topics, many of which will be made by its members. MiND is TV by the people, for the people. MiND also offers video production training classes including: audio recording, pre production workshops and camera classes.

: This workshop is geared toward beginning videographers. This is a two session workshop that will help you become familiar with your video camera and learn some of the basic functions.
In the first session, MiND instructors will teach you how your camera works and show you how to properly setup for various production scenarios. The second session focuses on what you shot for your homework assignment. As a class, your shots will be critiqued to help develop your camera skills.
